LEAF Marque Certification

How to develop and promote an integrated production system on farms

LEAF Marque CertificationThe LEAF Marque is an environmental guarantee system that allows products grown in more sustainable ways to be distinguished in the market. The basic principle of the LEAF Marque is the application of Integrated Farm Management (IFM), an approach that combines the best of traditional methods with sought-after innovative technologies.

This globally recognized certification mark is aimed at all primary production companies that wish to achieve sustainable agricultural production for the environment and society. It aims to improve crop health and protection, pollution control, organization and management of soil fertility, by-products, energy efficiency, nature conservation, and community engagement. Agriculture, being the primary source of livelihood for human food needs, unfortunately, contributes to greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Farmers are thus called to bring forward innovative solutions to combat this phenomenon by taking positive actions for the climate. This includes reducing the carbon footprint, improving soil health and quality, and implementing more regenerative practices.
