This globally recognized certification mark is aimed at all primary production companies that wish to achieve sustainable agricultural production for the environment and society. It aims to improve crop health and protection, pollution control, organization and management of soil fertility, by-products, energy efficiency, nature conservation, and community engagement. Agriculture, being the primary source of livelihood for human food needs, unfortunately, contributes to greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Farmers are thus called to bring forward innovative solutions to combat this phenomenon by taking positive actions for the climate. Certification process
Certification according to the LEAF brand is obtained through the following process:
- Completion of the information questionnaire.
- Sending the technical/economic offer which, once accepted, constitutes the contract for the provision of the service.
- Audit at the company and compilation of the final report.
- In case of success in the previous phases, the certification is evaluated by a technical committee.
- If the previous phases are successful, the certificate is delivered.
