Cathode protection operators are technicians specialising in the design, installation, control and maintenance of appliances and systems to protect metal structures from corrosion. Certification can be requested by employees, self-employed or unemployed persons.
The certification of cathodic protection specialists is a tool to ensure the expertise of professionals in this field and is intended to best meet the needs of a market that requires uniformity in the competence and professionalism of the operators.
The competence levels and certification systems apply to the following areas:
The candidate must provide documentary personal information that includes a statement of his/her level of study, personal training and experience.
To be eligible for certification, the candidate must meet the requirements for training and practical experience in cathodic protection as defined by EN 15257 and must pass the examination or assessment as specified in the RINA Regulations.
For staff certification, RINA operates under ACCREDIA accreditation according to UNI CEI EN ISO/IEC 17024.
We guarantee a widespread presence throughout Italy, with structures dedicated to test examinations, and qualified technicians for the training and evaluation of candidates.
