The RINA Rules for the Certification of Best Management Scheme of companies owning or managing passenger ships define a new and innovative certification scheme to reward the company management system in its entirety.
A global management system amplifies the benefit of each single management system, and encourages coverage of areas not yet considered.
The rules are not prescriptive and concern the following areas:
Specific requirements are defined for each area and a value is assigned to each requirement.
In order to obtain the certification, at least one requirement from the 11 different areas is to be implemented.
