RINA supports University of Genoa Post Lauream Master on Integrated Project – Hydrology Risk, Landscape and Local Sustainability

Integrated Projects and Local Sustainability

RINA Environment and Sustainability team has been involved since its origin in several projects dealing with environmental risks, territorial planning and local sustainability, facing the demands coming from project developers, public authorities, institutional stakeholders and local communities.

RINA has thus matured a significant experience in integrated projects involving hydrology risks, landscape topics and local sustainability. Within this framework:

  • we are supporting University of Genoa Post Lauream Master on Integrated Project – Hydrology Risk, Landscape and Local Sustainability providing lessons on the topic, based on real case studies, and
  • we are offering the possibility of professional stages to one or more student of the University Master course.

This Master aims to train experts in the field of integrated design of works and interventions relevant to the professions of civil engineer, architect and city planner. In this context, the course considers topics and issues related to environmental impact procedures as proactive design inputs.

Environmental Impact Assessment is part of these and Alessandro Puppo, from RINA Environmental Studies team, gave a lecture on this to the students of the Master. The lesson focused on the EIA procedure for the floodway of Santa Margherita Ligure (Genova), which involved RINA in its two stages (in 2005 and between 2015 and 2018).
