We invite you to take part in RINA Dissemination Day, an event dedicated to the presentation of projects funded by Research Fund for Coal and Steel.
During the event, three innovative projects will be presented:
InTEGrated Project
The InTEGrated research project focuses on developing innovative thermoelectric generation prototypes, building on valuable experience gained in the former THERELEXPRO project. The primary goal of InTEGrated is to optimize energy harvesting from Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) off-gas cooling water and high-temperature radiative waste heat, with key improvements aimed at advancing the technology to Technological Readiness Level 7 (TRL 7).
Grant Agreement n. 899248
RoboInspect
RoboInspect aims to introduce innovative robotic inspection systems in the European steel industry. Leveraging existing technologies based on unmanned vehicles developed for autonomous operation in confined and hazardous areas, the project addresses technological gaps to enhance inspection tasks. The objectives include minimizing downtime and increasing occupational safety, facilitated by integrated software that accelerates real-time damage analysis.
Grant Agreement n. 899252
BLEMAB
BLEMAB represents the evolution of the previous Mu-Blast project. Building on the successes of its predecessor, BLEMAB explores the imaging capability of the inner zone of blast furnaces using the muon absorption technique. Measurements obtained through this innovative technique will be compared with those obtained through an enhanced multipoint probe and standard blast furnace models. The expectation is that the muon technique will play a pivotal role in online blast furnace process control.
