In the Paraguay region, RINA is a leader among classification societies, offering surveys, advices and technical support of vessels in the most important water-course, the Paraguay-Paraná Waterway, along its 3,400 km, which extends across the Paraná and Paraguay rivers, and allows continuous navigation between the ports of Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Paraguay and Uruguay.

We play a proactive role in the decarbonisation evolution, bringing our multidisciplinary skills to the industry to build a sustainable future: we work with designers to verify compliance with the applicable rules of dual-fuel vessels and of novel concept designs incorporating new fuels such as hydrogen or ammonia, allowing for an increase in efficiency and performance which equates to fewer emissions.

- Design services: our design services include activities such as ship project engineering, technical advice and front-end analysis, CFD analysis, onboard comfort analysis, condition- and risk-based maintenance for system equipment and systems, drawing approval and surveys on behalf of the owner during construction.
- Operation and management advisory services: project management, dry-dock management, technical support for owners and preparation of technical specifications, conversion and upgrading of ships in operation according to new regulations, ship life extension, assistance for ship energy consumption optimisation analysis and alternative fuel adoption, cargo optimisation and management, tailormade services, training & learning solutions and financial advisory.
