THERMOSS project workshop

27 Feb 2020

Join us to learn more about advanced technologies for heating and cooling at building and district level

A sustainable built environment: this is one of our priorities for the future.

As project coordinator of SunHorizon (funded from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Programme under Grant Agreement N. 818329) and project partner of THERMOSS (funded from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 723562), we are glad you to invite you join us at THERMOSS project workshop.

This event aims at sharing the latest research results and lead interactive discussions about advanced technologies for heating and cooling at building and district level.

In particular, Stefano Barberis - Low Carbon Energy & Smart Energy Management R&D Opportunities – will have a speech about SunHorizon project at 10.30.

SunHorizon aims to demonstrate innovative and reliable Heat Pump solutions (thermal compression, adsorption, reversible) that acting properly coupled and managed with advanced solar panels (PV, Hybrid, thermal) can provide heating and cooling to residential and tertiary building with lower emissions, energy bills and fossil fuel dependency. In this way, the project will provide a straightforward retrofit to upgrade the performance and cost-efficiency of  5 Heating & Cooling technology packages systems and it will reduce Heating & Cooling dependence on fossil fuels through the demonstration of optimised, cost-effective solutions.

In this way, the project will provide a straightforward retrofit to upgrade the performance and cost-efficiency of 6 components of renewable Heatind & Cooling systems and it will reduce Heating & Cooling dependence on fossil fuels through the demonstration of optimised, cost-effective solutions.

Last but not least, SunHorizon will strengthen the competitiveness and growth of the involved industrial partners, enabling to mobilize significant investments by 2030 and capture a sizeable H&C market share with a potential revenue of 2,000 M€ in the residential and tertiary building sector.
