PANACEA
People-centric cybersecurity solutions in healthcare
Rome (Italy)
Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore
We are glad to announce the kick-off of a new project we are involved that aims at developing people-centric cybersecurity solutions in healthcare. Nowadays improving the cyber security resilience of IT infrastructure for health and healthcare is an European key-issue as the health sector is increasingly evolving towards digitalisation.
PANACEA has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 826293 to enable healthcare facilities to assess the nature and severity of a threat, and sustainably decide to adopt strategies to strengthen its preparedness and response. Today, Monday 21st January 2019, this innovative H2020 project coordinated by “Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore” and “Fondazione Policlinico Universitario Agostino Gemelli IRCCS” has officially started with the presence of all the project partners in Rome for the kick-off meeting.
For 36 months, we will collaborate with 14 international project partners (including universities, organizations and European companies) to develop new and innovative cybersecurity tools to protect clinical and emergency activities as well as patient privacy:
In particular, PANACEA Project Manager is Ivan Tesfai – RINA Corporate Research & Development, who will coordinate the development of our solutions related to cyber-security response, privacy and security-by-design for eHealth and interconnected devices, training and learning, among the others.
