Naples Shipping Week’s main conference

Port&ShippingTech, Naples Shipping Week’s main conference, in just nine years has achieved a leadership position among the international events about logistics, shipping and, generally, port logistic system development. This forum allows specialists to share their views on cutting-edge technological innovations, aimed at fostering the development of the port logistic system. For two days, at the Convention Center of the Naples Maritime Station, this one-of-a-kind event offers plenty of activities, focused on companies’ business development.

Robins Project

RINA, as project coordinator of the ROBINS (ROBotics technology for INspection of Ships) project, is attending the event to highlight its developments and impacts. It is a collaborative project co-funded by the Research DG of the European Commission within the activities of the Horizon 2020 EU Research and Innovation programme.

ROBINS aims at filling the technology and regulatory gaps that today still represent a barrier to the adoption of Robotics and Autonomous Systems (RAS) in activities related to inspection of ships, starting from understanding end user’s actual needs and expectations and analyzing how existing or near-future technology can meet them.
