Smart Energy Systems Conference 2019

09 Sep 2019

Join us at the Contractors' Meeting on Waste Heat & Cold utilization to learn more about PLANHEAT and REUSEHEAT H2020 Projects
9 September 2019 - A.C. Meyers Vaenge 15, 2450 Copenhagen (Room 2.1.042, 1st floor)

We are glad to announce that we are taking part in the “Contractors' meeting on Waste Heat & Cold utilization” organised in the framework of Smart Energy Systems Conference 2019.

The objective of the meeting is to share knowledge and facilitate dialogue between EU policymakers, and project beneficiaries. The meeting will facilitate the sharing of lessons and experiences on Waste Heat & Cold utilisation and help build a network of projects with similar objectives. The meeting will conclude with a policy session, where projects are invited to submit concrete policy recommendations.

In particular, Giorgio Bonvicini – RINA Environment & Climate Change – will present:

  • PLANHEAT Tool (Session 2: Waste heat/cold definition, sources, mapping, planning). This project has been funded by the European Union's H2020 Programme under grant agreement 723757 to develop an easy-to-use tool that allows the interconnections among three modules (the mapping module, the planning module, the simulation module) and to evaluate low carbon H&C scenarios via a dedicated KPI panel;
  • ReUseHeat (Session 5: Successful/innovative business models, pricing, contracting). This project has been funded by the European Union's H2020 Programme under grant agreement 767429 that aims at demonstrating first of their kind advanced, modular and replicable systems enabling the recovery and reuse of excess heat available at the urban level in 4 demonstrators.

The results of the meeting will directly feed into the CA EED discussion on “Waste heat and cold and foreseen practical approaches for the update of EED Article 14 Comprehensive Assessment” which will take place in October 2019.
