The Green Revolution starts at home

20 Jun 2019

Join us at EUSEW Policy Session to learn more about PLANHEAT H2020 Project

Europe consumes most of its energy as heating and cooling in households. With more than 80% of the heat delivered to buildings coming from obsolete, inefficient and polluting boilers, decarbonising this sector is crucial. A steep increase in the current 20% share of renewables in heating and cooling is required, together with improving the efficiencies of our heating and cooling systems, in order to achieve the Paris Agreement goals.

We are glad to announce that Stefano Barberis – RINA R&D Opportunity Management – will join the policy session “The Green Revolution starts at home” organised by Decarbheat, FEDARENE and IRENA in the framework of the European Sustainable Energy Week 2019

PLANHEAT has been funded by the European Union's H2020 Programme under grant agreement 723757 to develop and validate an integrated and easy-to-use tool to support local authorities in selecting, simulating and comparing alternative low carbon and economically sustainable scenarios for heating and cooling.

During this policy session also other two H2020 projects will be introduced (RELaTED and Hotmaps)  in order to give a thorough overview of the heating and cooling sector in Europe with its opportunities, tools and technologies available for local, regional and national authorities.

Register now and join us in Brussels!
