Interferry is an international conference that will address current topics and issues relevant to the ferry industry, following the conference theme of safety, security and the environment.
Since its creation in 1976, one of Interferry’s primary functions has been to facilitate networking and cooperation within the ferry industry. This has been achieved mainly by means of the annual conference, which has been held in venues around the world for the past 40 years. The 43rd edition of Interferry will take place in Cancun, Mexico.
As the leader society in the classification of Ro-Ro ships, RINA will attend again this year this conference participating in Session 18 on Tuesday 9th October. This panel will be focused on how ferry operators around the world can reduce their environmental footprint through green technology in hull coatings, ballast water systems and waste water management. Our Head of Passenger Ship Sector Capt. Giorgio De Sciora will address the complex world of waste water management onboard ferries and provide future solutions for consideration.
