EHSS compliance and risk management

EHSS due diligence, independent monitoring, environmental management system advisory services, and contaminated sites management

Environmental, Health, Safety and Social (EHSS) due diligence means evaluating, assessing and monitoring EHSS issues and impacts associated with complex projects worldwide. Through our extensive experience with projects funded by Lenders, RINA has acquired familiarity with the key international standards and their application to medium-large investments with potential environmental and social constraints.

The activity is carried out in accordance with the RINA governance model, which safeguards impartiality and prevents conflict of interest situations.

As independent advisors, we immerse ourselves in the project, meet the communities and assess if the system and processes are robust enough to meet Lenders’ requirements and to avoid, mitigate and manage potential environmental and social risks.

We also play a key role after financial close, ensuring that the project maintains compliance with the Lenders’ standards and requirements during construction and operation.

We advise on project specific Environmental and Social Management systems and are able to design these systems for organisations of any type and size. We develop IFI compliant environmental and social management plans, including commitment register and detailed monitoring plans.
