RINA does its best to make the class transfer process as simple as possible, with minimum disruption for the ship, and with constant and pro-active support from an expert team always responsive to the customer’s needs.

Deliverables

Class transfer may be carried out any time in a few simple steps through dedicated procedure:

  • ship’s owner or manager makes a classification request to the local RINA office, submitting the necessary application form
  • RINA gets in contact with the losing class Society, obtaining info on the present survey status
  • a class entry survey, possibly coinciding with the ship’s periodical survey, is performed by RINA, on completion of which an interim class certificate is granted to the ship before the issuing of the full term certificated
  • a survey status is prepared in a short time and made available on line for the yacht’s representative in RINA Leonardo Info.
