Construction and operation of industry, energy and infrastructure projects definitely originate impacts on physical environmental components such as air, water, soil&subsoil, noise etc. This subsequently originates impacts on biological and social components (flora, fauna, ecosystem services, livelyhood) and on human health.
Regulation at EU Level as well as at National levels now requires the implementation of Health Impact Assessment Studies to be developed according to International Standards (e.g. World Health Organization) and National Guidelines for certain typologies of plants and projects.
