Compliance and best practices congress in Brazil

As a silver sponsor of the event, RINA is attending the Congresso Integridade 2018 (2018 Integrity Congress) that will take place on 25 and 26 October 2018 in Belo Horizonte, MG, Brazil.

The event focuses on presenting cases, discussing current Fraud, Audit, Compliance, Technology and Security (FACTS) issues, with a broad vision, helping to develop an understanding of the work practices that underpin management transformation, and how to apply technologies, uniting people and companies in an integrated way.

Brazil has made strong strides in preventing frauds and combating corruption, adopting legislation aligned with the best international practices (some examples are Federal Law 12846/2013 and Decree 8420/2015).

There will be professionals from all over the country debating critical issues, including panels on: Senior Management Sponsorship; Maturity of Compliance in Brazil; Regulatory Environment; Crisis Management; Risk management; Investigations; Complaint Channels; Policies and Procedures; Continuous Improvement and Certifications.

In particular, we will participate in a panel on ISO 37001 - Anti-Bribery Management System, debating the value of accredited certification, and its contribution to improving anti-corruption mechanisms.

RINA has performed the first ISO 37001 accredited certifications in Brazil and worldwide and has obtained the accreditation from INMETRO, the Brazilian accreditation body.
