Join PLANHEAT training session at the EU Sustainable Energy Week

As project coordinator of PLANHEAT project, we invite you to join us at the EU Sustainable Energy Week, an initiative launched by the European Commission to build a secure energy future for Europe.

The Project

PLANHEAT has been funded by the European Union's H2020 Programme under grant agreement 723757 to develop a simulation tool that allows EU municipalities to map, plan and identify low-carbon and economically viable scenarios for Heating and Cooling for their cities.

Planheat tool will be validated in three European cities:

  • Antwerp (Belgium): representative of Northern EU countries, as one of the biggest ports in the world, it represents a relevant case study for mapping heating and cooling supply potential recoverable from waste heat coming from industrial areas and integrate it in existing district heating network
  • Velika Gorica (Croatia): representative of Eastern EU countries, characterised by a need to retrofit the existing DH network (i.e. distribution and generation) based on natural gas and oil
  • Lecce (Italy): representative of Southern EU countries characterised by a need for a smart strategy for collection of relevant data for heating and cooling demand and potential Renewable supply particularly related to cooling aspects.

Networking Village

At EUSEW 2018, we are taking part in the Networking Village, an energy fair that will be held in the Residence Palace to discuss about clean energy transition and sharing ideas. It is not necessary to register for the Networking Village: visit PLANHEAT stand on 6th June from 14.00 to 17.30.

Planheat Training Session

In the framework of EUSEW - ENERGY DAYS 2018, we are also organising a PLANHEAT live training session that will involve an instructive and hands-on training session to learn how to mapg heating and cooling demand and supply in cities thanks to the PLANHEAT tool.

In particular, the session will consist in the following two parts:

  • A strategic training session on heating and cooling policies
  • a technical training session with a prototype of the PLANHEAT tool.

The session will start at 10.00 am and finish at 15.00 pm. Registration is free and you can register here.
