International exhibition for the Coil&Winding industry: meet our team at stand 9-A10

Evento Coiltech 2018

Event Coiltech 2018

Coiltech is the international exhibition for the materials and machinery for the production of electric motors, generators, transformers and winding systems, where the leaders of the Coil & Winding industry meet each other. The product range offered by Coiltech exhibitors covers all stages of production of electric motors, transformers, generators and electric pumps.

Exhibitors and visitors take advantage of the fair's format and moments of informal interaction to share information on the evolution of the market, new technologies, materials, and procedures so that they can improve the quality and durability of their products. Coiltech is located in Pordenone, at the core of the industrial district in north-east Italy.

As a partner of the ReFreeDrive project, we are attending this event. ReFreeDrive (Rare Earth Free e-Drives featuring low cost manufacturing) is focused on contributing to avoid the use of rare earth magnets through the development of a next generation of electric drivetrains, ensuring the industrial feasibility for mass production while focusing on the low cost of the manufacturing technologies. Beyond the motor design, this H2020 project also considers an integrated design of the power train that allows the optimization of the electric connections, the cooling systems and the housing.

On 26th September at 10.30 a.m., RINA Project Manager Stefano Cicalé is taking part in the ReFreeDrive dissemination session within the World Magnetic Conference taking place within the Coiltech. The ReFreeDrive session will provide details about the project and the first results obtained from the preliminary designs in both featured technologies: Induction Machine and Synchronous Reluctance. The session is titled “RARE EARTH FREE E-DRIVES FOR ELECTRIC VEHICLES: Workshop on the development of rare earth-free traction technologies with a focus on industrial feasibility for mass production”.

As a technological leader with over 50 years' experience in electrical steels, RINA can offer innovation programs and R&D projects of both Grain-Oriented (GO) and Non-Grain Oriented (NGO) product grades and their production technologies. Based on a strong metallurgical and technological background, we are able to develop new products and processes tailored to final functional requirements and customer plant layout.

We wait for you at booth 9-A10 to find out how we are able to support our clients throughout the entire life cycle of products, industrial plants and major infrastructure using our know-how in the field of materials.
