EQUALITAS – Sustainable wine

The Equalitas Sustainable Wine certification applies to the entire wine supply chain and can cover the organization, the product and the territory. The process includes analysis of the sustainability management system, verification of measurable environmental, social and economic requirements and indicators, and periodic audits performed by an independent certification body. The certification is valid for three years, with annual surveillance audits, and enables companies to communicate their commitment in a structured way, including through publication of the Annual Sustainability Report.

V.I.V.A.

The V.I.V.A. Program, promoted by the Ministry for the Environment and Energy Security, is Italy’s public standard for measuring and improving sustainability performance in the wine sector. The certification is based on the assessment of four key indicators: Air, Water, Vineyard and Territory, which make it possible to analyze the environmental, social and economic impact of production. The process involves voluntary participation in the program, collection and validation of sustainability data, and verification by an independent control body, resulting in the issuance of a certificate of conformity.
