Vegan certification

Obtain vegan certification and demonstrate compliance, transparency and the quality of your vegan products

Veganism is not governed by a specific regulation: anyone can claim that a product is “vegan” without providing concrete safeguards for consumers or for companies that are genuinely committed to compliant production.

Vegan certification was created to provide transparency, independent verification, and clear standards, ensuring that ingredients, processes, and products never come into contact with animal-derived components. A requirement that is increasingly requested by consumers, retailers, and international markets.

What we offer

RINA offers two vegan certification solutions:

  • JUST VEGAN, our proprietary scheme developed to ensure high ethical and production standards.
  • BeVeg, the only internationally recognized vegan mark in accordance with ISO 17065; as a certification body in this case, we are recognized to independently verify the quality and integrity of food products and services for the issuance of the BeVeg mark.

Both certifications ensure that ingredients, production processes, and finished products contain no animal-derived components, do not involve animal testing, and are free from accidental contamination.

The certification process follows a structured procedure:

  • Completion of the information questionnaire;
  • Definition and acceptance of the technical and commercial proposal;
  • On-site audit and conformity assessment;
  • Evaluation by the RINA Decision Maker;
  • Issuance of the certificate in case of a positive outcome.

Why choose us

RINA offers technical expertise, independent audits, and rigorous standards, supporting companies throughout the entire certification journey. Thanks to our recognized schemes and international experience, we ensure reliability, transparency, and distinctive value for your brand.
