Quality mark

License issued following the conformity to regulatory or technical specifications

The voluntary product conformity certification, with the granting of the Quality Mark use license, issued for the following needs:

  • a manufacturer wishes to declare and certify additional technical requirements for their products (in addition to the mandatory ones)
  • a producer seeks to differentiate itself from competitors by demonstrating the quality of its products
  • where no harmonised standard is yet available, but only a draft standard.

The presence of a Quality Mark certifies the conformity of the product to regulatory documents or certain technical specifications provided by the manufacturer.

Certification Procedure

  • On-site audit: verification and testing of the product and the production process
  • the certificate is issued following the successful completion of the on-side audit, conferring the right to use the RINA Quality Mark
  • periodic checks to certify compliance and renew the certificate.

Q&A

Does the certificate of conformity have an expiration date?
Its validity is subject to successful results of periodic surveillance checks.

If there is no reference rule, can you obtain a certificate of conformity for the product?
The reference document may be a technical specification provided by the Producer, possibly supplemented by additional documents.
