Certification of conformity of traditional local products
Italy is famous for a wide variety of agri-food products for which the concept of quality is closely linked to the tradition and the geographical area of origin. The leveraging of these products and the preservation of their essence expressed by specific production methods, traditional recipes and geographical placement are ensured by the DOP, IGP, and STG logos introduced by the European Union to protect typical agri-food products.
