EVERYW2HERE H2020 project awarded “Best Outreach Award 2020” on 24 November 2020

We believe that cities can act as hydrogen revolution frontrunners and, since 2018, we have been working to bring fuel cell and hydrogen technologies to the heart of EU cities.

In particular, as Project Coordinator of EVERYWH2ERE, we aim at developing 8 fuel cell “plug and play” transportable gensets prototypes that can be used in construction sites, music festivals and temporary events. These gensets are overcoming traditional gensets solutions mainly based on diesel engines providing a zero emission – zero noise solution.

Realizing such gensets has been a collaborative work of six partners from all over Europe: the containerized structure was realized in Finland, integrating a fuel cell subsystem from Sweden and thermal management. Then they were sent to Italy, where all systems related to power architecture, control and hydrogen management have been added and where the validation phase is currently on-going.

The first two gensets (1x25 kW and 1x100 kW) are now ready to be used in music festivals and temporary events and we decided to use our gensets at events in order to facilitate the promotion and the increase of social acceptability of FCH technologies to a wider audience.

Therefore, we are proud to announce that EVERYWH2ERE Innovation was awarded “Best Outreach Award” also for its public engagement by FCH JU Programme Office.

The Award Ceremony took place in the framework of the European Hydrogen Week, an entire week of events from 23 to 27 November 2020 dedicated to the essential role of hydrogen in reaching EU’s commitment to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.

Thanks to our Stefano Barberis and Stefania Maroungiu’s coordination, EVERYWH2ERE managed to involve local authorities, industrial and music festival stakeholders since its beginning and to increase public audience awareness about FCH technologies by taking parts in several conferences and other events, such as in the 4th Green Panel Discussion of Cannes Film Festival 2019.
