RINA presents its novel integrated approach from risks to engineering solutions to make critical infrastructure more resilient to cyber-threats

Do you know that cyber threats have increased by more than 40%, causing a significant negative impact on the security of people, over the past 3 years?

Providing support in the prevention, detection, response and recovery of technological threats has always been one of RINA's top priorities and we are involved in a lot of key-projects, such as SecureGas, INFRASTRESS and Critical Chains, aiming at increasing the security and resilience of different Critical Infrastructure (CI) which are vulnerable to disruption caused by cyber-attacks, malicious behaviour, criminal activity or terrorism.

In fact, we believe that a novel integrated approach from risks to engineering solutions is essential to:

  • increase the asset performance and profitability;
  • reduce losses and preserve the business or service continuity;
  • reduce costs and time of recovery in case of an event;
  • Increase safety and reduction of human errors;
  • Improve awareness on risks, threats, and scenario, supporting planning and decision making

Therefore, we are glad to announce that Clemente Fuggini -  RINA Head of T&I Research & Innovation -  is taking part in the “EU Cyber Forum 2020”, an event organised by EU Cyber Diplomacy and Resilience Clusters in cooperation with the European External Action Service, the European Commission, the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity – ENISA, and the European Cybercrime Centre at Europol.

In particular, Clemente will join the working session “Internationalising (critical) infrastructure and functions protection” organised in cooperation with the Directorate General for Home Affairs on 17 September 2020, 15.00 – 16.30 CEST.
