Certification
In the market for historic, vintage, and collector cars, a vehicle's authenticity, history, and service documentation are essential for establishing and preserving its value over time.
NAB Heritage, an Italian company specialising in the sale, authentic restoration, and preservation of Subaru vehicles, led by former racing driver Andrea Navarra, sought a tool capable of independently verifying a car's history, specifications, and condition, going beyond standard proofs of ownership or maintenance.
The project aims to enhance the value of each vehicle through certified technical documentation, communicating the car's condition and history with transparency, credibility, and market recognition on an international scale.
RINA, the only body accredited worldwide to issue third-party certifications for historic, vintage, and collector cars, has made its expertise available to certify Subaru vehicles belonging to NAB Heritage and its clients.
In 2025, we issued Car Passport certifications for exclusive models such as the Subaru P25 (produced by Prodrive in a limited run of 25 units), the Subaru Impreza McRae Edition (limited to 200 units), and the Subaru Impreza GT WRX (limited to 200 units). The certification process involves verifying the vehicle's available technical and historical data and issuing a dossier containing photographic and documentary evidence, with the aim of providing the car with a certified technical passport.
Combining our technical expertise with the long-standing collaboration with Automotive Masterpieces, which focuses on certifying historical vehicle research, we launched a project to create a register dedicated to Subaru models of significant historical and collector value, based on verified and certified information: the Subaru Car Register.
The Subaru Car Register, created through the collaboration of NAB Heritage, RINA, and Automotive Masterpieces, distinguishes itself from other marque registries by adopting an approach that goes beyond a mere census of vehicles. Each car undergoes a historical analysis and verification process, backed by certification that highlights its authenticity and provenance.
Information gathered during the certification process is subsequently made available via the Subaru Car Register and the Automotive Masterpieces website, helping to build a structured, verifiable archive for the benefit of owners, collectors, and enthusiasts.
The initiative’s unique value lies in its ability to transform technical and historical vehicle documentation into a body of accessible, verifiable knowledge, thereby fostering greater transparency in the collector car market and more effectively showcasing the history of each vehicle.
