Rome Capital manages one of the largest and most complex public real estate portfolios in Europe, characterised by a high degree of asset heterogeneity, historical data stratification, and multiple information systems that were not fully integrated.
The challenge was to initiate a structured process of digitalisation and asset enhancement, overcoming data fragmentation and enabling more efficient, transparent, and accessible management for both the administration and citizens.
We supported Rome Capital in the development of the Atlante project through a systemic and progressive approach, aimed at creating a single digital ecosystem for real estate portfolio management.
The intervention included asset inventory and digitalisation, alignment and verification of existing data, the implementation of the REFTree platform as a unified asset, management, and maintenance system, and the development of a public-facing interface for asset consultation, integrated with the Administration’s systems.
The Atlante project enabled Rome Capital to achieve a step change in the knowledge, management, and enhancement of its real estate portfolio, making data more reliable, accessible, and interoperable.
The initiative represents a significant reference case in the digitalisation of public real estate assets and a replicable model for other administrations, supporting more effective, transparent, and value-oriented decision-making over time.
