RINA showcased RHE-MEDiation at Water Innovation Europe 2024

Towards a water-smart society

On June 17-19, 2024, we attended the Water Innovation Europe 2024 in Brussels, organized by Water Europe, the European Technology Platform for Water. 

RINA became a member of Water Europe last year, aligning with its mission to achieve a Water-Smart Society where the true value of water is recognized, and all available water sources are managed to prevent scarcity, overflow, and pollution.  

Water Innovation Europe 2024 was a significant event that promoted collaboration among scientists, technology developers, utility representatives, large water users, European, national, and regional policymakers, and finance experts. The event celebrated and discussed ways to develop locally adapted, innovative smart water solutions focused on water reuse. It also explored strategies for building investment around these solutions across Europe and beyond. 

In the event, under the 'Exhibitor Presentation' session which highlighted various innovative technologies in the water sector, RHE-MEDiation project’s technology basket, the photobioreactor developed by our partner BLUEMATER SA, and the floater with sensors developed by MDM Team SRL and SENSICHIPS SRL were displayed in action.

We also took the stage to elaborate to the Water Europe community the project's role in the realization of the “Mission Restore Our Ocean and Waters by 2030” objectives.

Participating in the Water Innovation Europe 2024 has reinforced our commitment to the realization of a water-smart society and we look forward to continuing this effort to foster collaborations for innovative sustainable water solutions in Europe and beyond.
