RINA now offering VERRA’s SD VISta Sustainability and Decarbonization solutions

RINA has been recognized as a VERRA-Accredited Third-Party Assessor

VERRA’s Sustainable Development Verified Impact Standard (SD VISta) provides companies with a flexible framework for assessing and reporting on the sustainable development benefits of their project-based activities, helping to unlock new sources of finance to support and scale-up sustainability and decarbonization efforts. 

Built around the United Nations’ (UN) 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, with its 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), SD VISta empowers companies and other non-governmental organizations to innovate and drive policies and institutional actions aimed at achieving the crucial advances for the 5 Ps: People, Planet, Prosperity, Peace and Partnership. SD VISta sets out rules and criteria for the design, implementation and assessment of projects that aim to deliver high-impact sustainable development benefits. Under SD VISta, projects must be verified and validated by an accredited Third-Party Assessor, such as RINA, to confirm that their contributions to the SDGs can be listed on the industry leading Verra Registry. Projects may then be issued with SD VISta assets: units representing sustainable development benefits that can be sold or retired and claimed.

What is the Registry System? 

Verra tracks and makes publicly available data on all SD VISta projects. The Verra registry tracks the generation, retirement and cancellation of any SD VISta asset as well as all Verified Carbon Units that bear a SD VISta label, which indicates that an emission reduction unit was generated during a SD VISta-verified period.
