BRIGAID’s third and final open call for innovators

Submit your innovation to mitigate climate change by 15th August

As partner of the research project BRIGAID, we are delighted to invite you to take part in the third and final open call for innovators.

The project

BRIGAID is a 4-year project (2016-2020) that has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 700699. It aims to effectively bridge the gap between innovators and end-users in resilience to floods, droughts and extreme weather.

In particular, BRIGAID supports innovators offering:

Technical readiness: the performance and effectiveness of an innovation to reduce climate-related risks
Social readiness: the extent to which an innovation complies with public and private end users’ priorities and needs, as well as the organizational and governance requirements
Market readiness: the potential of an innovation to develop a solid business case and attract investors.

The final call

BRIGAID’s third and final open call aims at selecting 6 to 9 innovations and provide them with funding and support for testing and improvements.

To take part in the call, your innovation has to:

Be developed by an innovator with legal representatives in a EU or associated country
mitigate impacts from floods, droughts or extreme weather events
be at a technical readiness level (TRL) of 4 or higher (i.e. a prototype has been developed and is ready for further testing in the lab or field)
be a structural, software or nature based solution
