D'Appolonia performs structural tests on offshore Dragon Oil facilities

03 Apr 2017

Following structural reinforcements, D’Appolonia was engaged by Dragon Oil Plc to assess the structural condition of the LAM 28, an accommodation platform located in the southern Caspian Sea. D’Appolonia designed and performed non-destructive tests on the LAM 28 platform and provided input for an update of the finite element model of the platform, which helps predict the platform’s reaction to various stresses. Through the measurement system D’Appolonia was able to assess the health status of the platform and validate the previously completed structural strengthening operations.

D’Appolonia provides Smart Monitoring services for a wide variety of fixed and floating offshore structures and ship shaped floaters (FPSO, FSO, FSRU, etc.). Please contact us for more information.
