The Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), introduced by Regulation (EU) 2023/956 as part of the Fit for 55 package, is reshaping the global trade landscape by placing a carbon cost on emissions embedded in selected goods imported into the EU. Designed to prevent carbon leakage and ensure a level playing field between EU and non-EU producers, CBAM aims to drive greater transparency, accountability and competitiveness across international supply chains.
During this webinar, we will explore the CBAM regulatory framework, its reporting and verification requirements, and the growing importance of measuring and declaring embedded emissions based on actual values. We will also discuss how verified emissions data can influence market positioning, supplier selection and long-term business competitiveness in an increasingly low-carbon economy.
