From a power demand viewpoint, the Central Indonesia is characterized by several power demand areas, mostly with a low one, spread in a vast region.
To manage this, the area is provided with many medium/small power stations traditionally fueled with fuel-oil, which could be replaced where technically and economically feasible by LNG, more sustainable from an environmental perspective.
In this framework, PT Prima Layanan Nasional (PLN) awarded RINA the contract for investigating the technical and commercial feasibility of supplying twenty-two new power stations using LNG.

The objective of the presentation will be to outline the methodology adopted and to share the main conclusions and lessons learnt.
