P2Endure, ENVISION and EENSULATE projects: the most innovative building renovation and energy saving solutions

Buildings account for around 40% of energy consumption and 36% of CO2 emissions in the European Union.

Do you know that the annual rate of home and commercial building renovation is well under the 3% required to achieve European climate and energy goals?

As project partner of P2Endure and ENVISION H2020 projects and project coordinator of EENSULATE H2020 Project, we are glad to invite you to join the “Deep renovation Joint Webinar” hosted by the European Portal for Energy Efficiency in Buildings.

This webinar aims at raising awareness on the most innovative building renovation and energy saving solutions and to present the technologies developed by three innovative projects co-funded by the European Commission in the framework of Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme:

  • Project Technical Coordinator Gian Marco Revel (UNIVPM) will present P2Endure project: ((Grant Agreement No. 723391) after 4 years, the Project Consortium has developed a new “e-Marketplace” platform designed to collect and filter information based on BIM models in order to support the buying, prefabrication and making processes related to building components for deep retrofitting. In the framework of this project, RINA developed a semi-automatic BIM-to-BEM (Building Energy Model) procedure based on open source and freeware software and implemented in the refurbishment of an actual heritage building applying the P2ENDURE technologies and contributed to the development a Technology Commercialisation Platform (TCP).
  • Project Coordinator Bart Erich (TNO) will present ENVISION project (Grant Agreement No 767180): started in 2017, it will develop the following four renovation technologies by 2022: solar heat collectors based on the usage of NIR absorbing coloured coatings, covered solar heat collectors using colored NIR transparent glasses, smart ventilated heat harvesting window and PV harvesting glasses. In the framework of this project, RINA is mainly in charge of the demonstration of ENVISION technologies in relevant environment and of the Exploitation and IPR Protection Plan.
  • Project Coordinator Daniela Reccardo (RINA Corporate Research & Development Project Technical Coordination) will present EENSULATE project (Grant Agreement No. 723868). The project is developing innovative high insulating products for cost-effective retrofitting and new construction applications: a highly insulating mono-component foam (OCF) for windows and a two components foam (TCF) with high fire class for spandrel of façade modules as well as a lightweight and thin double pane vacuum glass (VIG) suitable for both windows and façade implementation. RINA is the project coordinator of EENSULATE and it is mainly responsible of the definition of business drivers and the development of high level performance specifications.
