The “EU-India Joint Call on Smart and Integrated Local Energy Systems” has been co-organised by the Delegation of the European Union to India (EU DEL) and the Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India in order to raise awareness about the EU/ India call on Smart and Integrated Local Energy Systems.
The EU/ India call on Smart and Integrated Local Energy Systems has been jointly funded by the European Commission (EC) through 'Horizon 2020' and the DST, Government of India and EUR 18 million will be available for joint project proposals in total.
We are glad to announce that Alessandra Cuneo – RINA Corporate Research & Development Project Technical Coordination- will take part in the event to present MUSE GRIDS, an example of an ongoing project which promotes the collaboration between EU and India.
MUSE GRIDS has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 824441 in order to reduce energy carbon footprint while meeting energy demands and creating real and sustainable energy islands through the interaction of energy grids in a new concept of Smart Energy System.
In order to promote MUSE GRIDS replication, the project DSM and Multi-Energy planning tool will be virtually demonstrated, starting from local energy data, in few virtual demonstrators, among which an island village located in a rural part of West Bengal (Sundarbans).
There, MUSE GRIDS will monitor the local energy consumption/production and will help develop a local smart grid stimulating energy exchanges among different solar systems, taking into account industrial load and potential installation of a neighbourhood battery.
