We are proud to celebrate the successful delivery of Fahmy, a 70-Tonne Bollard Pull Tug built for the Damietta Port Authority by the Egyptian Ship Repair & Building Company (ESRBC).
The vessel represents a significant enhancement to Damietta Port’s marine fleet, strengthening towage capabilities and supporting safer, more efficient vessel assistance operations.
RINA supported the project by providing supervision during construction and plan approval, ensuring that the vessel was built in compliance with applicable RINA Rules and international standards for safety, quality and operational reliability.
We faced the challenges of managing a 70-tonne bollard pull and an advanced tractor tug propulsion system with competence and technological innovation to deliver a vessel with strong towage capabilities and safe and efficient vessel assistance operations.
The enhancement of Damietta Port’s marine fleet, is part of RINA continued collaboration in Egypt, supporting the development of the country’s maritime industry through technical expertise.
