TIM obtains UNI ISO 37001 certification

15 Nov 2019

The achievement demonstrates TIM's determination to prevent corruption in its business activities and relationships

TIM has become the first telecommunications services company in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index Europe 2019 to earn certification under UNI ISO 37001 – Anti-bribery Management System. The standard is the international benchmark in this area and TIM was certified by RINA, the accredited body for the standard.

The certification covers the whole of TIM S.p.A., which has around 800 sites in Italy. The award follows a process of analysis and audit by RINA, the first organisation in the world to be accredited for ISO 37001 (by Accredia – Italian accreditation body for certification and inspection bodies). According to the 2018 ISO Survey, RINA has certified more than 40% of the sites registered for this standard worldwide.

The certification was formally awarded today in Rome in the presence of TIM Chairman Salvatore Rossi and RINA CEO Ugo Salerno.

This achievement demonstrates TIM's determination to prevent corruption in its business activities and relationships, in line with the values set out in the Group's Code of Ethics and Conduct and in accordance with its "Zero Tolerance" approach to non-compliance.

Legality and transparency are important aspects of sustainability and social responsibility for TIM. The anti-bribery standard enables the adoption of a systematic, prevention-led approach in this area. UNI ISO 37001 certification is proof of the quality of the compliance policies that TIM has adopted over time, in line with national and international best practices.
