In 2020, the industry sector (including music festivals and temporary events) was almost completely locked down and the European CO2 emissions decreased by 11%, as stated in the Global Carbon Project report.
Meanwhile, the European Union issued the European Green Deal and all Member States committed to meet even more challenging climate goals by the end of 2030: a reduction of 55% of C02 emissions (instead of 40% compared to the proposal advanced in 1990).
How will this promise be fulfilled when tourism, culture and entertainment consumptions will return to pre-pandemic levels?
Our Stefano Barberis – RINA Innovation for Energy – will participate to the “Eurosonic Noorderslag Conference 2021” (ESNS2021) in order to give an answer this fundamental question in the framework of “Culture - Covid - Climate Change” panel, taking place on Thursday 14 January from 17:00 to 18:00 on the second conference channel.
In particular, Stefano will present our Innovative Hydrogen Technologies and Fuel Cell Transportable Gensets, developed in the framework of EVERYWH2ERE project (funded by the Fuel Cells and Hydrogen 2 Joint Undertaking under grant agreement No 779606. This Joint Undertaking receives support from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme, Hydrogen Europe and Hydrogen Europe research).
In fact, EVERYWH2ERE Project Consortium develops 8 fuel cell “plug and play” transportable gensets prototypes, overcoming traditional gensets solutions mainly based on diesel engines providing a zero emission – zero noise solution, and that can be used in construction sites, music festivals and temporary events.
