Prerequisite
A good knowledge of management systems and the reference standard ISO 45001:2018 and ISO/IEC 17021-1:2015. Have an understanding of relevant occupational health and safety issues and/or at least 6 months’ work experience in the specific sector.

PLEASE NOTE THAT: If knowledge of the reference standard is not adequate delegates may experience difficulties with the examination at the end of the course.

Aspiring Third Party Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems auditors wishing to enrol on the CQI and IRCA international register and/or RICEC recognised by ACCREDIA as an occupational health and safety Management Systems Auditor/Lead Auditor.

Company personnel involved in first and second party audits on Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems in an organisational context with particular complexity and/or magnitude.

Company heads of coordination, management and implementation of Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems in an organisational context with particular complexity and/or magnitude.

Course objectives
Improve Knowledge to 1 - Describe the purpose of a Health & Safety Management System and explain the principles of environmental risk assessment. 2 - Explain the purpose, content and interrelationship of ISO 45001:2018 and legal requirements framework. 3 - Explain the role of an auditor to plan, conduct, report and follow up an Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems audit in accordance with ISO19011:2018 and ISO IEC 17021-1:2015. Improve Skills to Plan, conduct, report and follow up an audit in accordance with ISO/IEC 17021-1:2015 and by interpreting ISO 45001:2018.

Certificate
Delegates who pass both the examination (70% pass mark) and the continuous assessment will be issued with a “Certificate of Achievement” that satisfies the formal training for an individual seeking certification as a CQI and IRCA auditor/lead auditor. The “Certificate of Achievement” is valid for a period of five years from the course end date for the purpose of certifying as an auditor with the CQI and IRCA. This meets the training requirement necessary for being registered as an auditor at the appropriate level in the CQI and IRCA register www.quality.org

Delegates who fail the examination but pass the continuous assessment will receive a “Certificate of Attendance” and will be allowed to re-sit the examination within 12 months of the course end date.

Delegates who do not pass the continuous assessment but have been in attendance for the full duration of the course will be issued with a “Certificate of Attendance”.
