The steel production of Cimolai SpA has been to build one of the New York’s biggest ever private real estate development projects, built on a platform raised on piles above a working rail depot.
Such structures consist of pillars, columns and beams and Cimolai is a recognised international expert provider of these vital components.
Over 50,000 tonnes of specialised steel structures are being sourced in Italy for the project and RINA has been appointed to Welding Inspections and Non-Destructive Testing on some of these structures.
More in detail, the steel production we inspected has been manufactured in three shops located in Monfalcone, Polcenigo and San Giorgio di Nogaro.
Our inspectors used visual, Ultrasonic, Magnetic Particle and other NDT tests to ensure the welding meets international standards.
