The main goal of our Software Engineering service is:
- design , develop and test of real-time software to be installed in Aerospace, Defence and Civil embedded equipment, according to the technical requirements provided by the Customer;
- provide high-level consultancy services in order to support the Customer during the whole life cycle of the product: software requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, verification and validation, SW Quality and configuration management.
In brief, our service aims at developing software covering the SW requirements (both functional and timing related) on the respect of the applicable Standard Life Cycle, reducing as much as possible time and costs.
RINA software engineering processes are executed in accordance with our internal quality standard ISO 9001 and EN 9100 standards and/or standards applicable to the specific domain (RTCA DO-178C, ECSS, DOD-2167A).
The provided service is configured according to the Customer needs:
- the Customer provides the technical specifications applicable to the software to be developed as input. Our software engineering teams meet the requirements by performing the following activities: project management, project planning, software requirements definition, software architectural and detailed design, software coding, software validation and verification, software delivery, software quality assurance process, software configuration management process. The aim is to deliver a full software package composed by source/executable code and the related software documentation (development plans, requirements specifications, design description, test plan/description/reports, verification and analysis reports, software users and installation manual, software delivery and release documents).
- If the Customer requires support on a specific phase of software life cycle (typically validation activities) the Customer provides the source and executable code and the software requirements as input. Our Software Verification & Validation teams design, implement and execute the necessary tests and collect the related results into final reports.
