Our team of experts delivers comprehensive power system solutions for every project across the entire energy sector
The power engineering and renewables team comprises over 150 distinguished experts, located in 13 countries, and encompasses seven core areas: photovoltaics, wind energy, energy storage, energy yield, earthing and lightning, electrical consulting, power system engineering.
These integrated disciplines enable the provision of power system solutions tailored to the unique requirements of each project at different stages of development.
We cover:
- Feasibility: we conduct feasibility studies for renewable and industrial power projects, including Capex/Opex estimations, cost-benefit analyses, technology assessments, land lease reviews, and permitting.
- Design & Engineering: we deliver site assessments, yield studies, conceptual, preliminary and detailed designs, and grid connection studies.
- Due Diligence: our independent engineering services include technical due diligence and contract reviews.
- Execution and Operation & Maintenance (O&M): we provide support throughout construction, commissioning, and operation & maintenance phases, ensuring performance and compliance. Our owner engineering services include design review, project management, and commissioning.
- Decommissioning: we deliver decommissioning plans and cost estimates, life extension studies.

With more than 150 experts, we provide services in 13 countries worldwide. Our practice collaborates with a wide range of stakeholders, including developers, lenders, independent power producers (IPPs), utilities, industrial clients, banks, engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) firms, and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).
Our role in a project starts with feasibility studies for any renewable and industrial power project, including site assessments, yield studies, and technology assessments. It also includes Capex/Opex estimations and cost-benefit analyses. As part of our Independent Engineering services, we conduct technical due diligence (TDD) analyses to enable contractors, developers, and financial institutions to understand the risks involved and make informed decisions about the project.
At the design stage, we develop detailed models for energy yield studies, in some cases using complex models based on Computational Fluid Dynamics. The team employs advanced modeling and simulation tools such as ETAP, DigSilent, PSSE, PSCAD, and SKM for power system studies, encompassing load flow, short circuit, power quality, protection and control, curtailment, transient, and harmonic analysis. Our team can design HV earthing systems, substations, PV systems, and tailored industrial and utility-scale solutions.
Our Owners Engineering services include:
- Design reviews at critical project milestones (30%, 60%, 90%, and IFC), with close coordination with other disciplines such as civil, structural, and mechanical engineering.
- Management services: planning, contract administration, health, safety and environment (HSE), and quality assurance (QA).
- Construction oversight services: on-site quality control (QC), commissioning supervision, and as-built documentation.
- Acceptance review: provisional acceptance certificate (PAC) and final acceptance certificate (FAC) to ensure contractual and technical compliance.
Once the project is in operation, our post-construction focus is on operational excellence. Our services include:
- Performance analysis and optimization: refining site design and optimizing energy yield across portfolios.
- Root cause analysis (RCA): failure investigation to improve reliability and future designs.
- Technical due diligence for assets in operation.
As assets approach end of life, we provide support for:
- Life extension studies: evaluating remaining life and potential upgrades.
- Decommissioning plans: including disposal and recycling strategies.
- Cost analysis and contractual support.
