RINA Railway Certification Laboratory performs conformity tests of basic ERTMS/ETCS products. Operating within the RINA Railway department, the Laboratory activities are part of an integrated certification service starting from tests up to the final certification. The Laboratory is able to deliver flexible testing solutions and, by means of the European projects participation, its accreditations and collaboration with the main international stakeholders, to play a role in supporting the definition of the future technical solutions in the sector. 

• Established to perform certification tests on products used in the railway signalling sector in accordance with European directive 2008/57/EC on the interoperability of the rail system within the Community and related CCS

• Accredited against UNI CEI EN ISO/IEC 17025 by ACCREDIA for EUROBALISE and ETCS tests
• With the most advanced equipment to check compliance of products intended to be used in the ERTMS/ETCS trackside and on-board subsystems with the highest possible repeatability level
• Flexible and reliable, offering test activities during the development, pre-certification and certification phases of ETCS, EUROBALISE and GSM-R components
• High level of automation combined with RINA experience in testing ERTMS/ETCS products to ensure full assistance while the tests are being carried out as well as strong reduction of time and cost.
