A third-party assessment can represent a strong added value in order to market the products: Independent Safety assessment is performed with reference to railway safety norms, in compliance with the international standards ISO/IEC EN 17065:2012 and ISO/IEC 17020:2012. This service is provided for:

- trackside and On-board Command-Control
- signalling subsystems and components for railways and metro.
RINA is accredited by Accredia for certification of products (ISO/IEC EN 17065:2012) and Type A inspection on railway subsystem (ISO/IEC 17020:2012).
