In 2026, RINA and CLIA will co host and contribute to a series of strategic events focused on the priorities of the cruise sector.
23rd–26th February, Funchal, Madeira
As part of its long standing partnership with CLIA, RINA will play an active role at the CLIA European Summit 2026, contributing technical insight and strategic perspective across multiple high level sessions.
RINA experts will participate in three dedicated speaking engagements, including a presentation on Bunkering Safety delivered by Andreas Ullrich, Global Market Director Passenger Ships and Ferries, on 24th February, followed by a keynote from Giosuè Vezzuto, Marine Executive Vice President, on 25th February.
The Summit will also feature the thematic session “Building for Tomorrow: Port Infrastructure and Destination Development”, scheduled for 26th February, highlighting the collaborative approach needed to prepare ports and destinations for future cruise demand.
In addition, RINA will host the “RINA Reception: From Ship to Shore: enabling port & infrastructure readiness for cruise decarbonisation” on the morning of 25th February: a dedicated moment for industry stakeholders to connect and explore forward looking solutions that support the sector’s sustainable transition.

During Seatrade Cruise Global 2026, RINA will once again reinforce its strategic position within the cruise community as a prominent contributor to the CLIA Diamond Reception.
This prestigious gathering brings together senior decision makers, shipowners, port authorities, and innovation leaders to celebrate collaboration across the global cruise ecosystem.
RINA’s participation includes a keynote speech by Paolo Moretti, RINA Services CEO, reflecting our continued commitment to shaping the future of the sector through technical excellence, safety leadership, and a shared vision for sustainable growth.

RINA will take on a prominent role at the CLIA Technical and Regulatory Forum during SMM 2026, serving as Presenting Partner.
This designation underscores the strategic importance of our engineering and regulatory expertise in supporting the evolution of global cruise standards.
RINA will deliver a welcome address to open the forum, followed by a technical contribution within the workshop, reaffirming our commitment to enabling clear, pragmatic regulations and fostering constructive dialogue among industry stakeholders.

At the CLIA Cruise Forward Summit 2026, RINA will again be recognised as Presenting Partner, standing as the only classification society operating at this level of strategic engagement.
The programme includes a welcome address during the main plenary and a dedicated RINA centric technical session, developed in close coordination with CLIA.
