The RINA SSM Laboratory (Studio Sperimentale Metalsiderurgico) offers a wide range of mechanical testing and chemical analysis services on various materials, including steels, metal alloys, composite materials, and plastics, in compliance with national (UNI), European (EN), and international standards (ISO, ASTM, ASME, etc.).
The laboratory also features a dedicated Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) department providing ultrasonic testing, magnetic particle testing, liquid penetrant testing, and radiographic testing services.
The new welding facilities, equipped with welding machines, welding benches, and fume extraction systems, enable the execution of the main welding processes (electrode, wire, TIG, and submerged arc welding) for the testing of welding consumables and the qualification of welding procedures.
