Rooted in the prestigious legacy of the Italian Naval Registry, RINA has evolved into a dynamic "business-to-society" company, supporting customers in keeping up with changes and growing sustainably.
RINA first established its presence in North America in 1989 with an office in New York. In 1992, the company expanded to Fort Lauderdale, and, in 1999, RINA USA was officially established in Fort Lauderdale. In 2013, RINA opened an office in Washington, and in 2015, the company took over two companies in Houston: QIC and NDI. In 2019, RINA expanded to Calgary, and, in 2020, the company partnered with First Nations to officially establish a presence in Canada. RINA also opened offices in Montreal, Toronto, Halifax, and Vancouver. Additionally, in 2023 RINA acquired Patrick Engineering Inc., a company founded in 1979 by Daniel Patrick Dietzler. The firm grew from one engineer into a full-service design, construction, management and technology firm with business sectors serving transportation, government, utility, and industrial infrastructure clients.
