Metal powders production and additive manufacturing

We develop metal powders and promote circular economy in the additiive manufacturing sector

What is metal powder?

Metal powder is the preliminary base material for most 3D printing processes, also known as additive manufacturing.

Our metal podwer production process

We develop and manufacture metal powders within gas atomization furnaces, by injecting inert gas at high velocity onto a stream of liquid metal as it is poured, generating microdroplets that solidify into a spherical powder.

It’s a delicate process because 3D metal printing powders need to have different properties for different applications such as particle shape and size, good flowability and low oxygen content.

We produce micrometric metal powders for our partner that re-melt them by a laser or an electron beam inside 3D printing machines.

Promoting circular economy in the additive manufacturing industry

Our production process can be applied to the recycling of waste material, like scrap, drink cans and coffee pods, which we transform into micrometric powders that can then be used to create valves and other components with high added value.
