National vehicle assessment is required in order to get the authorization to put in Service, usually together with TSI certification. It consists in a technical assessment according specific requirements defined in the national rules.
The service relies on ANSF Decree (National Agency for Railroad Security, in English) 01/20016 according to the procedure defined in ANSF Guide Lines 01/2017. CSM assessment is assessed according 402/2013.
A standard process starts with the assessment of the Rules Reference List according ANSF Decree 01/2016, followed by the assessment of the different points quoted in the national rules. The process conclusion consists in the integration report assessment and the certificates issue.
The activity is carried out in accordance with the RINA governance model, which safeguards impartiality and prevents conflict of interest situations.
