What’s new in the Thermal Energy Storage sector?

Improving energy efficiency and sustainability in buildings has always been one of our priorities. To achieve this goal, we are involved in several research projects co-funded by the European Union under the H2020 research and innovation programme:

  • CREATE - Compact retrofit advanced thermal energy storage (funded from the European Union’s H2020 research and innovation programme under Grant Agreement No 680450)
  • HYBUILD - Innovative compact hybrid storage systems for low energy buildings (funded from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 768824)
  • SCORES – Self consumption of renewable energy by hybrid storage systems (from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 766464)
  • THERMOSS – Building and district thermal retrofit and management solution (funded from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 723562)
  • SUNHORIZON - Sun coupled innovative Heat Pumps (funded from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Programme under Grant Agreement N. 818329)

We are glad to invite you to “SAVE TODAY, USE TOMORROW! Thermal Energy Storage Systems” workshop that will take place in Wels (Austria) on 28th February 2019.

In the framework of the World Sustainable Energy Days session “Innovation Workshops Energy and Buildings”, six H2020 projects (CREATE, HYBUILD, SCORES, TESSE2B, THERMOSS, SUNHORIZON) representatives will introduce their results and lead interactive discussions about thermal energy storage.

In particular, Alessandra Cuneo – RINA Corporate Research and Development – will introduce SunHorizon, a new project that we coordinate and that aims at demonstrating how heat pumps and solar energy can operate in a mutual benefit way to decarbonize EU H&C scenario.

Workshop registration is free of charge: register now!
