Taking place at Coventry’s Ricoh Arena in the UK, the Expo boasts an impressive line-up of manufacturing leaders, scholars and government agencies who will address and debate a range of topics spanning lean manufacturing, supply chain risk, intellectual property, regulatory compliance, remanufacturing, the circular economy and sustainability.
Joining the line-up this year will be RINA’s Dr. Alex Martin from the Product Regulatory Compliance Team in the UK. Alex will give a presentation on CE marking Directives and related legislation affecting the supply of electrical and electronic equipment in the UK and EU. It is important that equipment manufacturers determine and meet all applicable regulatory requirements, otherwise they will risk supplying unsafe, non-compliant goods that might cause harm as well as lead to sales stops, product recalls and litigation. Alex will explain this while also going over the implications Brexit poses to the current product regulatory regime in the UK.
In addition to giving this presentation, RINA will be exhibiting. That will provide the opportunity to meet with RINA consultants and hear first-hand of the forensic engineering and regulatory compliance services we offer. These services span from concept- and early-manufacturing stage support with identifying and meeting product regulatory requirements through to the failure investigation of products once on the market.
